Our Song Contest 24

Más de dos años después de la primera participación del País Vasco en el concurso y su posterior victoria, la 24ª edición del OSC aun no ha tenido lugar. Diversas trabas burocráticas, falta de patrocinadores y el surgimiento de programas como "Canción del mes" hicieron del OSC un concurso obsoleto que no lograba atraer el interés del público. Así, la 24ª edición fue aplazándose hasta en dos ocasiones (siendo la fecha definitiva el 8 de febrero de 2017). Finalmente, nunca se llegó a celebrar.

Ahora, la televisión pública europea (EBU) ha firmado un contrato de colaboración con las televisiones nacionales que permita al OSC una próspera aventura futura en la parrilla televisiva. La sede se ha elegido y se dará a conocer próximamente, junto a los países (que tras varias negociaciones secretas) se han logrado para participar. Recordar que el número más pequeño de participantes fue de 19 en la edición 23.

OSC 24

La edición de invierno del Our Song Contest ha llegado y ya van, con esta ultima, veinticuatro ediciones donde mas de cincuenta usuarios de todo el mundo han participado.
Ahora es hora de ocupar las 7 plazas disponibles que aun quedan despues de que ayer dia 19 de diciembre se haya terminado el plazo para que los usuarios que participaron en la anterior edicion confirmaran su participacion en esta.
La lista de naciones escogidas y participantes en esta edicion se encuentra a la derecha del post asi como sus canciones elegidas.

La 24a edicion se celebra en Bilbao, de nuevo, ya que el Pais Vasco ganó la anterior edicion consiguiendo asi dos victorias seguidas habiendo tenido su debut hace dos ediciones, por tanto un palmarés muy envidiable.

Las canciones ya escogidas, y por tanto que no pueden volver a representar a ningun pais, se encuentran en la pestaña indicada para ello.

CONGRATULATIONS NORWAY!

Norway with Rita Ora's hit "I Will Never Let You Down" has won recently the 23rd edition of the OSC with 327 points. Norway was the favourite by the begining to have the price, and they did it! Of course, they won the televote with 170 points, but they finished 2nd on jury votes so the difference with the second qualified France is not so big. France finished 2nd after winning the jury votes and being 2nd on televote with 121points. They were the surprise, Indila, a new style of artist arrange to get upper than Iggy Azalea (3rd, 4th) and Helena Paparizou (5th with 172 points).
The rest of the top 10 is completed by Romania with Inna and Pitbull singing a catching song (139), Greece, Kosovo, Cyprus and Spain.

On the other hand, we have San Marino with the latin song "Boom sem parar" an Lithuania with Selfie song on the last positions.

OSC Returns!

19 countries are taking part, the lowest number on the history. Bilbao will hold the contest that begins this week after a pause of a half of year. You can see the songs of the 19 participants and you can now vote to have one winner.

The Basque Country wins in their debut!

The competition was finished as later as the others editions, the final was on december and the results were given to us today semifinal and final both.
Semifinal
The semifinal took place with 17 acts, but only 10 qualified for the final, you can see the results here and we can tell you that the jury saved some countries like Spain who qualified with the 37 points from the jury. There weren't surprises but one ! Belarus, with BRITNEY SPEARS didnt qualify they reach the 12th points and it is 2nd Birtney's fall, is her the new Valentina Monetta?

Final
HERE IS THE TABLE OF VOTES
In his debut, the Basque Country (Vitoria capital city) has won the competition with 327 points like Loreen did in Eurovision. Lady Gaga won the prize and the faculty of supervising the nex OSC (22th edition). Basque Country is not independized from Spain yet, but they aprooved to participate alone, and it had their results. But, Lady gaga was always in the votes followed by the semifinal winner, Montenegro, who finished second in the huge final with 326, only one point for the top, Macklemore also has the 6th place with Norway. Completes the top3 Armenia with 303 points for Demi Lovato, Dinsey Channel songrwriter very famous! The surprises were Italy or San Marino, which qualified directly in the final of the next edition, and Lithuania and their "monsters" who reached the 4th position, without being on the top.

Next edition
The next edition will be held in Bilbao, after the headquarters of the EiTB told us that today, on 5 and 6 of April semifinal and final. We don't know how many countries will participate but Spain has withdraw in protest of the recognisment of the Basque Country as country. We will know the official candidates to win on 15th march last day to tell to EiTB your election.

Six days until de finish date of sending songs

In six days the song must be confirmed and all countries instead of Moldova had choosed their song yet.
We can listen to them at the right of the web, so you can start thinking about your votes because here comes the month before the contest.
Remember that on Tuesday the 12th the delegations will move to Paris to start the conferences and the rehearsals at the Palace of Congresses. Soon we will publish the official schedule. So far, you can start listening the songs and making your polls.

So far

Hi there! We have the 25 confirmed countries necessary to participate in the contest, they are automatically qualified France, Denmark, Cyprus, Italy, Netherlands, Azerbaijan, San Marino and Romania for made a top10 last edition, the rest of the 17 contestants must beat in the semifinal of 5th december.
The rest of the countries let us see one debuting country, Basque Country (capital city Vitoria) wich is new in the contest, officialy not independized of Spain but recognised by our organisation (like Catalonia). Also Spain confirmed their participation. You have at the right side the 25 ones.

Remember you can start sending your songs, you can do it until the 10th of november 2013. After that, we will start the rehearsals.

Here you can see the official logo of the contest, the Tour Eiffel is surrounded by colors, a symbol of Paris.
The official theme "Add the best of you" is on the middle and in a corner is the television hosting France 3, and in other corner the name of the contest and the days of the celebration. This logo was made by Tres Emmelies S.A. encharged by France 3.

Hey there!

Hey there, Adelen is still number 1 in all european charts after winning the contest last week, her song Bombo is beating all records in sales and Adelen is thinking about a CD called "Adele N", of course she is focused on winning her most important prize "Best Summer Song 2013" will he reach it?
Now is time of talking about the nex contest, the 21st. Its gonna be celebrated in France, and the guests gave me important facts about the contest.
The days of the contest are:
Semifinal. 5 december
Huge Final. 7 december
Paris is gonna hold the contest and the rules are the same as in other editions, in fact, only 25 countries can take part of the second contest by popularity and one of the bests by equality.
For taking part in the contest you can send an email to makintosh_@hotmail.com remember the choosed songs ! In your e-mail you must write your country (only european countries including Basque Country, Catalunya, Kosovo, Feroe Islands and Transnistria) your choosed song (any rules for choosing it) and your name or Location, remember United Kingdom is not allowed to participate in the contest anymore.
You can confirm your participation until 25th august and the final day to send your song is 10th november.

CONGRATULATIONS FRANCE!

Adelen the youngest person to win Our Song Contest won the 20th edition representing France with the song Bombo with 343 points, beating another record, maximum punctuation in a final. She also won the televote voting.

The second one in the final was Denmark, with Elen Levon, the last winner, was the second qualified with 291 points with the song "Wild Child" also second by televote.
Completes the top3, Cyprus with Helena and "Save me this is an SOS" with 252 points, but Cyprus qualified 4th by televote, instead, by televote the top3 would be completed by Netherlands with Ellie and "Burn".

A new voting system has invited to this edition, the non qualified countries had the opportunity to vote in the Grand Final.

Terrible problems with the venue are the complications that we found on this edition, Ukraine will hold the semifinal today and on Saturday the 27th of July the big final. We re sorry of this.
All songs are posted on the right side so you can check them. TONIGHT IS THE SEMIFINAL, check the semifinal allocation draw and check the songs to vote. Remember ten countries are automatically in the final, those are Ukraine, Georgia, Sweden, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Norway, Moldova, Azerbaijan and Macedonia. 
The other 15 countries will beat in the semifinal tonight and 8 of them will a place on the Big Final.

Some countries had ellected | Part 2

Kosovo, a new country in map of Europe, is allowed to participe in the contest according to the laws, and Young London will represent Pristina and rest of the country with their new song "Stuttering" from they new CD "Instincts".

Skrillex is coming back, after his podium with Bangarang he's back with "Kyoto", is singing for Greece.

Jedward, the irish twins, are going to represent Belgium at this edition wit their new song called "P.O.V", you will enjoy with them.

Spain, is trying edition by edition to be in the final, but they didnt. Will they with the song "Volvi a nacer" (Born again) by Carlos Vives?

Elen Levon, the ukranian representant who is the causant of us being here in Ukraine, will represent again a country in OSC. This time Denmark will be the affortunate country, Elen will sing "Wild child" her new single after Dancing to the same song, will she repeat the hit?

Mika will represent FYR Macedonia, Mika made the song for a beer brand called "Citiziens from a place called world" and now he repeats the brand but with the song "Live your life"

Inna will be again in the contest, this time representing Norway with the song "Spre Mare" in romanian, which is part of his new CD "Party Never Ends".

Romania will be represent by the famous Darin, wich presented the Romanian song on ESC, the songs called "Nobody knows" is now #1 in 13 countries of Europe, and it can be the summer hit 2013. Do you like it?

Eric Saade will represent his country Sweden with a new song of his CD, called "Marching in the name of love", the show is assegurated.

Ovi, representing Romania at ESC 2010, is now representing Montenegro with his new song "One Day" singing in romanian and english, do you like it?

20TH Edition to be hold in Dnipropetrovsk!

The city will hold the 20th edition will be the difficult to say city of Dnipropetrovsk. This city is The dates of the semifinal and the final are 12th July and 13th July.

SPECIAL RESULTS

We have already have a winner of the 19th contest, here you have the complete points-table where you can check what did juries and televote voted. If you like to be in the 20th edition do what we have to do in all editions. CONGRATULATIONS UKRAINE !!! 

Ukraine is the winner of the 19th edition of OSC with 311 points, 177 from televote and 134 from juries, Elen Levon with the song "Dancing to the same song" was already a hit around Europe and now is a hit of OSC. Check here the winning song!

The second place was for Georgia with 251 points, the ballad of Rhianna called "Stay" were in our hearts all night. Completes the TOP3 Sweden with "Million miles away" from Deepside Deejays (who had already won the contest if you can remember". The ten first countries will automatically qualifiy for the Final of the 20th edition wich will be held by Ukraine. Stay tuned!

SPECIAL REPORT

As you could see the semifinal and the final didnt took part in London. The organization will be punished and a comittee of experts and a cupple of televoters from all countries had made their results from the semifinal. The 10 qualifiers will be in the final of the 20th edition. The host country will be the one which was won the semifinal.
We are sorry for that mistake, London will never organize it anymore. In the few 30 minutes we will upload the results.

The allocation draw took place today, after all countries confirmed their song in London, and here you can see the results. Also, if you don't know it, we will post all song in our Youtube Channel. 

Armenia, UK and Germany!

The lasts entries in this contest are publicated the last day of preselections. So, with this three countries we finish the NF.

The mac mac Song - MANDINGA
Appart of representing Denmark, Mandinga will also represent Armenia, with the "funny" song Mac Mac Song in romanian. Armenia waited until today to say it and here it is.

Fall Down - WILL.I.AM FT. MILEY CYRUS
The venue country will be representated by Will.i.Am featuring Miley Cyrus , they won the NF with 167/190 points and the jury sustained them with 84% of votes. Will.i.Am will represent the United Kingdom with a song from his new album #willpower , the song is "Fall Down".

Harlem Shake - BAAUER
The last internet phenomena will represent Germany with the full version of the Harlem Shake song singed by Baauer, will they do a good coreography?

France and Serbia!

Maitre Gims will sing for France in french an inusual data (to sing in their own language in a contest), the song is called "J'me tire" and its already #3 in French lists.

And R&B song will represent Serbia "Let her go" by Passenger will do it. They are choosed internally.

Macedonia and Switzerland brings ballads

Macedonia will be represent by a ballad sing by Robin, this year's Sweden representate at ESC 2013. Robin will sing "Scars" from his new album "For the Better EP". Macedonia choosed him internally.

Switzerland has added to this edition another ballad sing by Adele, is of her album "19" and the name's "Hometown Glory" who has a part of piano and other singing, this ballad has a recognisment of the "Voice of the year".

Denmark and Ukraine!

Bling by Mandinga will represent Denmark this time, their song is new from their second CD. Do you like it?

Elen Levon won the NF celebrated in Kiev, with the 12 points from jury and televote she has the chance for Ukraine to bring the next edition there. She will represent Ukraine with the song "Dancing to the same song" who is now the #3 in Ukraine and #4 Belarus, we will see her in the #1 of all Europe?

Ralf and PSY are returning for Italy and Montenegro

The winner of the JESC , Ralf, will represent Itally after winning the San Remo 2013. His new single "This is our Party" will be listen in lots of clubs by the time, do you like it?

Montenegro returns to the contest with a fresh song of PSY, worldwide known by Gangam Style. His new single won the montenegro NF with unanimity of jury and public. Here you can comment the song "Gentelman"

Sweden and Azerbaijan; the newest songs

"Million miles away" Dollarman featuring Deepside Deejays will beat for the prize by the hand of Sweden, the country choosed them today in their Melodi Grand Festivalen 2013 and they will represent it. Deepside Deejays, if you remember, won the 14th edition, will they win this one too?

A romanian dance song , "who sounds like "More than friends" by Inna and "Danza Kuduro"" sayed the press will represent Azerbaijan in this edition. If you like the song vote for Cristina Rus on 18th May, here it is:

Forza España and Runaway Bulgaria

All romanian artists made a song from a big karaoke in Iasi, Romania. The spanish TV (TVE) liked the song and they called Radio Zu - the official radio from this song- and Radio Zu accepted. Lots of famous artists in Romania made this mooved and happy song called "Forza Zu" (Zu's Power) and they will represent Spain. Are you dancing while you listen to it?

By the other side, Bulgaria choosed Bruno Mars with a happy -too- song call "Runaway Baby" who is sing by him and his group of funny dancers worldwide known. Bulgaria choosed them with a NF in Sofia who took place yesterday and Bruno was second by the jury, so the televote saved him. Do you like it?

Norway's and Belgium's songs

Demi Lovato will represent this country with the help of 177/200 points from the televote with her new song "Heart Attack" from her new album. Demi Lovato talked with us and she said that she never imagined to represent a hole country in a contest full of quality like this. Here you have the norwich song:

Faydee is worlwide known of making a song about the scholar margination , but now, he camed to Brussels to try to represent Belgium with a different song, made with energy, dance chours and with a pegadice lyrics. He tryied it and he won; "Forget the world" will represent Beligum on 18th May.

Moldova and Ireland has also a song

 Carla's Dream feat. Inna - P.O.H.U.I.
This song about crisis is a good piece of music who is sing by Carla's Dream and one of the winners of this contest, Inna. Will she have the same result with Carla's Dream? By the time, they are representing Moldova with the song P.O.H.U.I. Do you like it?

 Will I Am feat. Justin Bieber - That Power
The new single of Will i am is featuring the worlwide known Justin Bieber, the had been elected internally by the Irish TV and they will sing the song "That Power". What do you think?

Greek song and San Marino's one

 Nuria Swam - I Want you
Nuria Swam got the televote in the "bolsillo" and the greek jury voted her because she was the only to get the public in the NF out from their chairs. This quite good song "I Want You" will represent Greece. What do you think?

 Mo-No feat. Sara Cruz & Flo Rida - I belong to you
This featuring will represent , by internal election, the little country San Marino in the contest with the song "I belong to you" which is in Italy #3 without been elected yet (last week) Will it qualify?

Russian song

The televote choosed today with the 78.9% of votes the russian song "Song #1" singing Serebro. Serebro participated in the ESC with this song and now, in 2013, will represent again Russia with the same song, they reached the TOP3, will they now?

Romania's election!

Romania did today the internal selection of its song and singer and the result was thta Romania will be represent by Auryn, a spanish boy band, with the song "Love Taxi". The song is one in they new album "Anti-heroes" which song "Heartbreaker" is #8 in Spain, that's why we think Romania will have points from Spain. Love Taxi is one of the other three most listened songs of the album. You can listen the Romanian election here:

Listen Georgian song

Georgia had ellected today its song for the contest. The worldwide known girl , Rhianna, will represent Georgia in the contest with the song "Stay" featuring Mikky Ekko. It was an internal election (Rhianna) and the election was between "Stay" or "Drunk on Love", after a votation the public elected "Stay" with 67% of votes.
